School :)

since my last post i have gone from getting up whenever i feel like it to getting up at 6:00(MWF) and 5:00(TT) so that was a change but everything else has been really good, on the first Monday through Friday of school we had our Opening School Revival and it was great pastor Locke was an excellent pastor. and in case your wondering why(only on actual blog) part of the words are green and part of them purple IT'S RUSH WEEK at TBC and those are my society colors Tau Theta/Sigma, hopefully the rest of the school year goes as well(minus car problems) as the first week and a half did like i put in parentheses the only part of the first week i do NOT want to continue is the car problems my car battery will not keep a charge well that's all for now i need to finish getting ready for school. The #3, Childress, Big E, and Austin Dillon

What's in a number? For some nothing at all, for others everything. Some people see nothing in a number but a digit or an age, others see a driver or football/baseball/hockey/basketball player. The number I am referring to is the # 3 made famous by Dale Earnhardt Sr. in the NASCAR Winston(now Nextel)Cup series, and thought by some to be retired by NASCAR or by Richard Childress(Big E's car owner and friend/hunting buddy)but neither was true as NASCAR does not retire numbers(hence the numbers 43, Richard Petty, and 45, Adam Petty, both run.) Richard Childress said in 2001 that he would not run # 3 again and while yes we have seen two or three times where Dale Earnhardt Jr. has run the number(02 Daytona-win, 02 Charlotte-36th, and 10 Daytona-win) most people thought that those were OK to do because Jr. was driving the same number that he drove to two(2) Busch(now Nationwide) championships(1998,99) and he was driving the car as a tribute to his father. Sprint Unlimited

It's hard to talk about Daytona without talking about Dale Earnhardt....with 37 wins between the two top series at the track he was synonymous with Daytona. BUT my goal here is not to talk about any one driver in the first post(the next one is on the duels where I will focus on a driver) my goal here is to talk about the race...the first race of the year...the race for pole winners...the race formally known as the Bud Shootout but now known as the Sprint Unlimited. History: Before you think this is gonna be some kinda report it's not...just some information. Originally called the Busch Clash, then the Budweiser shootout, now the Sprint Unlimited, this is the race for drivers who have won poles in the previous year or have won this race before. There are no points awarded for this race...just money.
