Books I'm reading this summer

OK I've been reading since I was four years old and I've been reading pretty much anything I could get my hands on, mostly Christian fiction and some bio and racing books. This summer I will be reading what is supposed to be the final book in the Katie Weldon series called Finally and Forever I plan to read Darrell Waltrip's book Sundays Will Never Be The Same and I will probably re-read Driver #8 and Jade Gurss' book In The Red . This list is a living list and I will probably update with new books or re-reads on a semi regular basis and give reviews on the books as well.

Just a Thought

While watching something on Speed, I think, earlier this week there was a clip of the #2 Miller car and the #3 Goodwrench car and my brother, who is only 12 years old, asked me "Has Kaze(he meant Keze, which is what I call Keseloski sometimes) had ever raced Dale Earnhardt Sr.?" at first I said "who?" and I as soon as I figured out who he was talking about I told him no the Keze had never raced against Dale Sr. his next question was "Then who was in the #2?" and after I told him it was Rusty Wallace I got to thinking to the cars really look THAT different than they used to? I mean sure the cars themselves look different than they did when Rusty and Dale Sr. were driving but the paint schemes and numbers don't really look that different if you disagree then let me know

11 days!!!!!!

In eleven days the NASCAR season will officially begin and I will be one of the 150k there to watch the race. How many different ways are there to say excited? Well I'm not sure but I think I fall under most of them. Anyway in my last post promised more info on how I got my tickets for free and my pics to win the race, so here goes ; tickets first, Toyota is, for the first time ever, going to have the pace car in the race, so to celebrate this they gave away (I think) 500 sets of tickets to the Daytona 500 and I won one of the sets of tickets. Now for my picks on who will win the race (not scientific in anyway please to not blame me if you make a bet based on my predictions and lose) I think it may finally be Dale Earnhardt JR 's turn to do something his father didn't do, and that would be become a two time winner of the Daytona 500 and if Dale JR does win the Daytona 500 he would be the driver the bring Rick Hendrick his 200th cup win as an owner, as well as break a losing...

Really Cool, Really Big News

Pictured here is one of my two tickets to THE DAYTONA 500 . The coolest part about the tickets is that I got them for free!!! I won a contest put on by Toyota Racing, so I get to go to the 54th annual Daytona 500 for free! My picks for who will win will come in a later post, but for now I just wanted to share one of the coolest things to happen to me

Perspective it can be amazing

This past Tuesday(12/20/11) I went to the zoo with my great grandmother, my aunt, my aunt's cousin, and five of my cousins, including my five-year-old twin cousins, I say the part about my five-year-old cousins because that is really the most important part. While we were at the zoo I was taking pictures of, well, everything and when we stopped in the Japanese garden at our zoo, complete with a coy pond, one of my five-year-old cousins asked my if he could take some pictures with my camera, so I gave him my camera and he had the camera for about the next twenty-thirty minutes. Now, I stand around 5'5" tall, my cousin stands about 3'5" tall, so the pictures I was taking were quite a bit higher than the ones my cousin was taking, the only time all day I was down at his level was when I took his twin brother into the bird house and he was showing me the squirrels(not sure that's the right word.) Above are some of the picture my cousin took, along with a few of th...

been silent for a while

So y'all may have noticed that I have been silent on Facebook and my blog for the last little bit, the reason is that I have just been busy, between work, school, church, and homework there aren't really that many hours left in any given week. This semester I have Speech, Introduction to Education, Class Piano 1, ASL1, and Drawing 1 A little NASCAR for you, Tony Stewart will be crowned the Nextel Cup Champion for the third time in his career, but the only reason that they say he has three Nextel Cup championships is because they like to call each champion under the current name of the series, for example they say that Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt have seven Nextel cup championships even though Nextel didn't take over sponsorship for the cup series until 2006, any way Tony Stewart was the last guy not named Jimmie Johnson to win a title which he won in 2005 and before that he was one of the last two guys to win the Winston Cup championship which he won in 2002. One NASCA...

The #3, Childress, Big E, and Austin Dillon

What's in a number? For some nothing at all, for others everything. Some people see nothing in a number but a digit or an age, others see a driver or football/baseball/hockey/basketball player. The number I am referring to is the # 3 made famous by Dale Earnhardt Sr. in the NASCAR Winston(now Nextel)Cup series, and thought by some to be retired by NASCAR or by Richard Childress(Big E's car owner and friend/hunting buddy)but neither was true as NASCAR does not retire numbers(hence the numbers 43, Richard Petty, and 45, Adam Petty, both run.) Richard Childress said in 2001 that he would not run # 3 again and while yes we have seen two or three times where Dale Earnhardt Jr. has run the number(02 Daytona-win, 02 Charlotte-36th, and 10 Daytona-win) most people thought that those were OK to do because Jr. was driving the same number that he drove to two(2) Busch(now Nationwide) championships(1998,99) and he was driving the car as a tribute to his father. Big E, Dale Sr., The Intim...
